In order to implement the objectives of the Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1983, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) was created under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges under the second chapter of the said Ordinance and the operation of this authority started from January 1988.

(BRTA) was created and the operation of this authority started from January 1998.

The office of BRTA is located in the Faridpur District Commissioner's office. All BRTA services are provided on public working days.

01. Biometrics for digital registration certificates are accepted and delivered every com© day.

02. Digital number plates are affixed to motor vehicles every few days (except Tuesday in the 2nd week and Tuesday in the 4th week of the month).

03. 1/2 scheduled/regular board (as per date mentioned in learner) is held in a week.

04. Driving refresher training program for professional motorists is ongoing.
